This piece was created by using the title, panels and narratives pulled from 27 different comic books to tell a story of a couple searching for their new forever home.
There are rare moments when I'll edit the words in panels and it's saved for custom works. This one required only a name change (to Nancy) in one panel and one noun modification (from cat to dog). When I presented the work in progress, I'd learned that a few panels and narratives were an accurate account of events, such as the lack of a doorbell and the timing of the house offer.
It was so much fun building this one piece for them. One of my favorite panels shows their spotted dog, named Hubble, jumping out of a rocket. What are the chances I'd find something like this? What's even more surprising is that the featured model couldn't look more like its new owner.
